The double album Le Clavecin Moderne plus Saxophone contains the latest works written for harpsichord and saxophone. It is a continuation of the series presenting unconventional instrumental combinations with the harpsichord, initiated in 2021 with the album Le Clavecin Moderne plus Percussion.

Most of the compositions were recorded for the first time and are dedicated to the musicians - the originator of the series, Alina Ratkowska (harpsichord) and Paweł Gusnar (saxophone), whose artistic quality, extraordinary personalities and distinctive interpretations place them among the best instrumentalists of their specialties. Apart from Paweł Łukaszewski's LukaSonata for alto saxophone
and harpsichord and the third installment of Streams by Bartosz Kowalski for harpsichord, soprano and alto saxophones and electronics, other works by Anna Ignatowicz-Glińska, Weronika Ratusińska-
-Zamuszko, Mikołaj Hertel, Marcin Łukaszewski, Leszek Możdżer and Nicolas Prost were composed for soprano saxophone and harpsichord. The selected repertoire - colorful and diverse, and at the same time harmonious and coherent - confirms the perfect correlation of the sound of these seemingly distant instruments. It is also a record of the joy of friends making music together, who confirm their high skill in conducting musical narratives, which is an additional advantage of the presented album.

Katarzyna Rakowiecka-Rojsze took care of the sound of the recordings. Kowalski and Prost's songs were also recorded by Bartosz Gardziński and Paweł Żukowski, and Małgorzata Polańska and Lech Tołwiński recorded Nimfy by Weronika Ratusińska-Zamuszko in 2006, which began the artists' saxophone-harpsichord adventure.
