A Memory of Time is a breakthrough record in Americana, by new artist Loren Haynes. The album was conceived as musical and songwriting narrative of the trials and tribulations of living. The lyrics weave stories of the loves and friends lost, questions of directions and choices, repercussions of being sent to war, and the struggle of of ones life in choices and being held back by fear and love. But, always looking forward and finding the strength t push past our fears and destructive loves. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel with the characters in the songs,if they face what they are running form. The music is alive, energetic and foot stomping. Loren Haynes' vocals sound like it begins in the center of the earth, and berths emotion from the heart of man. The Pinon Band brings together a gifted groups of musicians, who recorded the record live and sound like they have played together for years, Brian Haas, also from the Jazz /New Orleans fusion quartet "Nolatet" "arranged and beat his piano, Arne Bey, killing it on Drums, Matthew Vaughn, gifted on Violin and Viola, Alexander Thomas Mcmahon on peddle steel and guitar, Bill Palmer co-producing and on guitars and other atmospheric sounds when needed, Justin Branford on stand up and electric bass, Manny Rivera, on Saxophones, Stepping on back up and featured vocals, Stephanie Hatfield, in between recording her new Record "Traces".
