Palodine - Melancholy Truckers Of Death (2017) [Hi-Res]

The music of Palodine is a dark mixture of americana, rock, indie, folk and southern gothic ; Often described as" A melancholic, yet intense and powerful experience, that pushes the boundaries of dark American music".

Band members Katrina Whitney (Vocals,percussion) and Michael Aryn ( guitars,multi-instumentalist ) formed in 2007 in Seattle, Washington. Katrina is the daughter of a Dutch Mormon immigrant and an Arizona native with an Apache grandfather. Michael is the descendant of a coal mining, truck driving, moonshiner family with roots in Tennessee. The two have fused the western and southern american influences of their heritage into the music they create together. The duo were originally influenced by musical like-minded artists such as Nick Cave, P.J. Harvey,Wovenhand, Mark Lanegan, Low, and early appalachian ballads. They currently reside in the high desert of the American west. They create their unique brand of american music in a 1920's bungalow at the base of the rocky mountains with occasional contributions from guest musicians.

The band has released 5 records - "Desolate Son", "Garden of Deceit", "All the Pretty Wolves","High Desert Hymns","Melancholy Truckers of Death", and the upcoming release "Lowborn" the bands 6th album, is set for an Oct. 5th,2018 release date.
