Whiskey Shivers once described their sound as "trashgrass." That’s putting it lightly: Some Part of Something is rugged, blunt, and unpolished, but underneath all the grit is an old-school sound that's as accessible as it is sweet. "Red Rocking Chair" is a loose take on a country standard, while the good-natured romp of "Liquor, Beer, Wine & Ice" deserves to become a standard in its own right. They even tackle Daniel Johnston, turning his song “True Love” into a harmony-laden campfire sing-along.
