This beautiful new album by flautist Julien Beaudiment and harpist Marie Pierre Langlamet, named after the 18th century dance movement "Badinerie", offers a wide-ranging repertoire with a rich collection of works from across the centuries. At the center of the album is Francis Poulenc's Sonata FP 164 with its three soulful movements, each of which paints a vivid musical picture. The wistful Allegro malinconico and the playful Presto giocoso showcase Poulenc's stylistic subtleties, while Mozart's emotional Adagio from K. 285 transports the listener into a realm of serene beauty. Johann Sebastian Bach's iconic Badinerie lends the collection baroque charm. The album showcases the virtuosity of both artists. Julien Beaudiment's career spans renowned stages worldwide, while Marie Pierre Langlamet has been principal harpist with the Berliner Philharmoniker since 1993.
