George Dearborne was born and raised in the dancehalls and honkytonks of South and East Texas, where he learned to dance to the traditional country music of Ray Price and Johnny Bush. These musical influences moved George to form his first band at 15 and he has never looked back.
Originally playing drums, Dearborne realized that to get the girls he would have to be the singer and so he moved out from behind the drum kit, picked up a guitar and developed the vocal style that makes him one of the finest vocalists in all of country music.

Recorded in Nashville (spotlighting musical performances by award-winning, A-list instrumentalists) and produced by Jimmy Ritchey (Jake Owen/Mark Chesnutt/Clay Walker), the 15-song album will be available Friday, July 12, 2024.
“Very few performers carry the tradition of preserving dancehall music; sadly, it seems to be a dying art. George Dearborne is a hidden gem…one of the greatest performers on the honky tonk stage,” said album producer and contributing songwriter, Jimmy Ritchey. “Some of my favorite songs, that I’ve ever written, appear on LOTTA HONKY TONKIN’ LEFT IN ME, and at least one fiddle, steel guitar and upright bass are spotlighted in every song as a standard.”
Dearborne made early introductions to the project with the release of the title track “Lotta Honky Tonkin’ Left In Me” on Friday, May 31, 2024.
