FTISLAND - Serious (2024) Hi-Res

The 7th full-length album ‘Serious’ is an album that shatters the stereotypes surrounding FT Island. It contains FT Island’s strong will to break away from the ‘me’ defined by the world, show the true ‘me’ without any additions or subtractions, and continue to walk my own path. This is their first new album in 10 months since their previous mini-album 9th ‘Sage’, and their first full-length album in about 8 years since their 6th full-length album ‘Where’s the truth?’ (2016).

The 7th full-length album ‘Serious’ contains a total of 10 songs, including the double title songs ‘BURN IT’ and ‘Serious’. FT Island participated in writing lyrics and composing all songs, further strengthening the team identity. ‘BURN IT’, one of the double title songs, is a song for those who seek a new beginning by overcoming seemingly impossible things. The simple, repetitive bass riff and the members' powerful voices stand out, and the languid chorus melody that follows is addictive and lingers in your ears. It was pre-released before the release of the 7th full-length album and received a lot of attention.

‘Serious’, which is the same as the album name, starts off as a minimal and dark track and is characterized by a sound that gradually becomes grander by expressing the firm determination toward an unchanging goal through the choir. The repeated lyric ‘Walkin’ till I die’ contains the members’ strong will to overcome obstacles and continue to move forward on their own path.

The new album includes double title songs, 'Letter to Myself', 'AQUA (Korean Ver.)', 'Sunrise Yellow (Korean Ver.)', 'T.I.V (Tears In Vain)', and 'INFERNO'. , 'My Birthday (Korean Ver.)', 'Compass (Journey)', and '理由 (Reason)', it is filled with music that shows FT Island's wide spectrum.

The ‘Serious’ music video released together shows FT Island, who has walked a long path, steadily moving forward despite any obstacles. It contains FT Island's tenacity to move forward steadily even if it is a difficult journey, and it creates a different atmosphere from the previously released sound source and music video of 'BURN IT', bringing various joys to fans who were eagerly waiting for FT Island's comeback.
