Kuttin Edge - No plot, just vibes (2024)

Drum'n'Bass producer Kuttin Edge is set to release a mixtape album titled 'No plot, just vibes' on May 29th, featuring a collection of tracks that showcase his evolution over the past three years. This mixtape includes tracks that date back to 2021, providing listeners with a journey through melodic and lighter vibes that are perfect for both studying and dancing. After six EPs, earning plaudits from genre heavyweights including Doc Scott, Krust, and Klute, Hamburg-based artist Kuttin Edge releases his first longer project. This release marks the debut for his own imprint, Krunchtime Records. The brand, originally started as a radio show in 1997, has since expanded into events, podcasts, streetwear, and a design business. Establishing Krunchtime as a record label will now allow Kuttin Edge to contribute more substantially as an artist and create a cohesive body of work that truly represents his vision. 'No plot, just vibes' contains 12 warm and playful tracks, showcasing the typical blend of infectious retro-future grooves Kuttin Edge has become known for. A selection that oscillates effortlessly between '70s & '80s inspired textures reminiscent of Mndsgn, Kaytranada, or even Sam Gellaitry paired with thick drum & bass beats. The piano-led single, 'Flicker & Flash,' is set to premiere on Data Transmission on May 13th and is already getting support from DJ Flight and Submorphics.
