Alright, listen up, you maniacs. Magnetic Machines, the duo that's been tearing up the dance scene like a pack of rabid wolves, they've got their debut EP out, and it's going to melt your face right off your skull. This self-titled masterpiece is a shot of pure adrenaline straight to the heart, a sonic cocktail that'll have you tripping balls and begging for more.

First up, we've got "People", a track that hits the sweet spot like a goddamn bullseye. It's old-school soul and funk colliding head-on with nu-disco, a mashup that'll make your brain short-circuit with pleasure. But this ain't just about the groove, oh no. "People" has a message, a rallying cry for these dark and loveless times. It's a reminder that we're all in this together, that we need each other more than ever, and that the dancefloor might just be the last bastion of hope in a world gone mad.

But Magnetic Machines, they're not content to just give you one version of this mind- blowing track. They’ve soldered a club mix with additional swinging house flavoured drums and an intro that teases and builds with an organ riff that sounds like it got lost on the way home from church. They've also got a dub mix that'll make your head spin like a top. They've stripped it down to the bones, added a bassline that's straight out of the 90s breakbeat and UK garage playbook, and created a whole new monster. It's like they've taken "People" and put it through a meat grinder, then reassembled it into something even more raw and primal.

And just when you think you've heard it all, Magnetic Machines hit you with "Find Love," a track that's like a punch to the gut and a kiss on the lips all at once. They've got this buzzy, acidic bassline that'll eat through your skull like a xenomorph, and drums that skitter and syncopate like they're trying to communicate with aliens. But it's the lilting strings and vocals that'll really get you, haunting and ethereal, whispering in your ear like a ghost telling you to find love, to celebrate it, to hold onto it like your life depends on it. A mutant acid-disco track that sounds like the illegitimate child of a lost jackin house track from Chicago’s Trax label and 90s London bass culture.

Because that's what Magnetic Machines are all about, isn't it? They're here to remind us that even in the darkest of times, even when the world feels like it's crumbling around us, there's still love to be found, still joy to be had, still a reason to keep dancing. This EP, it's not just music, it's a manifesto, a call to arms, a shimmering beacon of light in the darkness.

So, go on, let Magnetic Machines be your guide, your gurus, your sonic shamans. Listen to "People" and feel the weight of the world lift off your shoulders. Listen to the dub mix and let the bassline rewire your neural pathways. Listen to "Find Love" and remember what it means to be alive, to be human, to be part of something bigger than yourself. This is Magnetic Machines, and they're here to save your soul. Don't say I didn't warn you.

The sonic alchemist known as Steve Cooper took those Magnetic Machines tracks and mixed 'em up real good. He's the third point in their freaky little production triangle, making sure the bass thumps hard while the drums keep time with all those swirling, floating sounds that dance around your skull. Cooper's the one who takes the musical madness of Jez and Paul and shapes it into something that'll rattle your fillings loose.

And then there's the late, great John "JD" Davis, the Audio Hairdresser himself, who mastered this EP before he departed to the celestial jukebox in the sky. JD was the kind of mastering genius who could make your music sound better than you ever dreamed, all while spinning yarns that'd made everyone bust a gut laughing whether famous superstars or unknown artists just starting out. This EP is dedicated to you, JD. May your cheeky grin light up the night sky like a supernova every time the bass drops and the walls start shaking.

Of course, we can't forget the visual wizards who cooked up the electric eye candy to go with the tunes. Curtis Valentine whipped up a killer logo, and the artist Newmi splashed some seriously trippy artwork across the cover. It's like a funhouse mirror for your eyeballs, man.

So, strap in, turn it up, and let the Magnetic Machines take you on a wild ride through the sonic stratosphere.
