Coses that is diuen per? que no fan ("Things that are said but are not made") is the title of the album by Andrea Motis , Joan Chamorro and The New Catalan Ensemble: a new formation that incorporates the bell of the solo instruments of the Catalan cobla with which Andrea Motis sings for the first time a selection of poems of key authors in contemporary Catalan literature: from classics chosen by herself as the poem "Tot len."Andyor of others, from Joan Salvat-Papasseit to Gabriel Ferrater (of whom the poem ' Kore') or Joan Vinyoli ('Sol') , of which this year marks the centenary of his birth . The project includes unquestionable poets such as Joan Margarit, the award-winning 'Hotel of Mercy') , Tarragona Montserrat Abelló (Aquest teu aire suau', the only theme played as a quintet with Chamorro to the bass and Enrique Ortí to the tenor as soloist) , and the renowned Enric Casasses (Sastre de rec.) , Manuel Forcano ('Gol') or the Mallorcan SebastianAlzamora, whose poem gives the album (extracted from the poem 'La part visible' , Carles Riba Prize 2008).
The album is completed with some well-known jazz standards that due to the instrumentation of the set, take on a new life: they are 'The Nearness of You', which opens the album, 'Summertime' and Jobim's classic, 'Corvocado'.
The prestigious illustrator Arnal Ballester has created the image of the album.
