lotech/hijack - Rabbit Tracks (2024)

We are very welcome a new artist on the board! This time this is Canadian dub techno and ambient producer releasing his music under the name Lotech / Hijack. Was inspired to write this album by some wildlife in my neighbourhood which I was able to observe over several days one winter. Mostly a fox that was trying to find the rabbit living in our yard and coming out occasionally and leaving rabbit tracks in the snow. Often I would see the fox in the early evening coming into our yard and one day he did find the rabbit which was rather unfortunate. Was listening to a lot of ambient house and Detroit techno over that period and so the album is less dub and more a reflection of the music in the house at that time.

This is his first album for us! Slow, deep dub techno landscapes intertwined with reverberationб and dub echo, make your sound trip meditative and calm. The album also contains two remixes from our old friends BT Gate X-138 and Xoki.
