Marcella Carboni - Miradas (2024)

Since the 70s, Italian Jazz in the world has had an ambassador of excellence, Enrico Pieranunzi. Marcella Carboni with her electroacoustic harp wants to pay homage to contemporary Italian jazz by reinterpreting the music of Enrico Pieranunzi. For this special project, one of the greatest interpreters of Enrico Pieranunzi's music was involved, the virtuoso and poetic clarinetist Gabriele Mirabassi, who enriches Marcella Carboni's trio: an atypical jazz trio, which sees a harp instead of the piano or the guitar. Marcella Carboni with her electroacoustic harp calls two pillars of Italian jazz to her side, Paolino Dalla Porta on double bass and Stefano Bagnoli on drums. A trio that puts the harp in a position to go beyond the stereotypes linked to its instrument.
