The name suggests: "Conexão Berlin" around the percussionist Andreas Weiser connects two worlds. With "Vagabundo" the ensemble proves how closely it is connected to the Brazilian sound. The very idiosyncratic Berlin singer Nina Ernst had just presented her latest album and if you looked closer, you discovered quite a few musicians in her band who also belong to the "Conexão Berlin" - which is no surprise: Nina Ernst and percussionist Andreas Weiser, founder the "Conexão", work and live together. After the Ernst premiere, Weiser's ensemble has now followed suit and presented a production with "Vagabundo" that is able to adapt to the Brazilian sounds in a more compact way than is otherwise rare in Germany.
