A journey through five centuries of music! Guitarist Philippe Mouratoglou releases his new album "La Bellezza", which enchants with magical guitar sounds.
Once a student of renowned musicians such as Wim Hoogewerf, Roland Dyens and Pablo Marquez, whom he also assisted at the Strasbourg Conservatory, French guitarist Philippe Mouratoglou pursues his curiosity for different genres in his compositions. Both as a soloist and in various small groups, the musician brings them to life with steel-string, six-string, twelve-string and baritone guitars. in 2012, Philippe Mouratoglou founded the Vision Fugitive label with clarinettist Jean-Marc Foltz and graphic designer Philippe Ghielmetti.
Philippe Mouratoglou also explored the repertoire of bluesman Robert Johnson and Spanish guitarist and composer Fernando Sor. His current composition "La Bellezza" is a journey through five centuries of music for lute and guitar, from Francesco da Milano to Nuccio d'Angelo, via Giuilo Regondi and Mario Castelnuevo-Tedesco.
