Merryn Jeann - DOG BEACH (2024)

Dog Beach is Merryn’s first full length LP following up her debut self titled LP in 2019. It is a body of work that represents the entirety of her artistic world, it is honest, expressive and personal nurturing the theme ‘Coming of age, in your own time’.

It explores pop, grunge, rock and folk with orchestral and cinematic tones.

Inspired by Arthur Russell’s movement of bringing pop acts to the NYC Avant Garde space ‘The Kitchen’ in the 80s, Merryn is excited to bring art performance to the indie pop world and challenge the traditional form of gigs and touring. To curate, in atypical spaces, a different kind of live music experience incorporating theatrical energy with input from fellow artist comrades.

Felt in this album Merryn, in collaboration with Rob Ellis and other musicians, has shown her ability to bring multi genres, lyrics and ideas together, resulting in a pop album with a spirited and playful integrity.
