[Harmless BACKB017] The Big Apple really does bite back in this CD. Lots of great House music, including a couple of remixed Disco pearls. The first six tracks are all SalSoul classics in fantastic remixes. Two of these are original works by Larry Levan and Frankie Knuckles, while the others are more recent workouts by Joe Claussell who takes on Double Exposure's "Everyman", Kerri Chandler meets "Dr. Love", "Call Me" by Skyy gets a remix treatment by Blaze and Mount Rushmore Houses up Candido's "Jingo". Todd Terry was THE man of the late 80's NYC House scene and three of his hard pumping tunes are found here, first "Bango" which is a cover/mash-up of the Arthur Russel Dinosaur L classic "Go Bang!", followed by "A Day In The Life" by Black Riot and Hardhouse's "Check This Out". Finally we enter the Jungle with Afrikali's "Out Of The Jungle" and "I'll House You" by the Jungle Brothers. 11 fantastic House tracks - "Check This Out"!
