To me the horse is a reflection of God's beauty and grace. It was one of His greatest blessings to us plodding pedestrians. Astride a horse we are able to elevate our souls. In 1939 My father Rib and his brother Duke took a journey to Marfa TX to purchase some Quarter Horse seed stock to improve the genetics of their using horses, and so along with the rest of my family I have had the luck of being raised around good horses. Sorrels, bays, roans and greys gallop through my dreams. Their song I will never stop singing until I take my last glorious ride into the land of a thousand hills.
