A live recording of Medjieva's 25th anniversary recital at Toppan Hall in Tokyo on December 12, 2022. The program features the young Brahms' epic sonata (No. 3) and Liszt's masterpiece "The Third Year of the Pilgrimage" from his last year in Japan.By comparing the worldviews of the two great masters of the 19th century, the program highlights the essence of Romantic music, which is a mixture of various emotions such as "longing," "anxiety," "love," "death," "fate," and "resignation. The performance is on a large scale, with a wide range of dynamics and colorful tones, and captivates the audience. (Instrument used: Steinway CD135 made in NY in 1925).
