Wendy started playing Guitar at fourteen years old. Born in Newport, Rhode Island, home of both Jazz and folk festivals, influenced by going to these concerts she took up the Guitar. Wendy played in a rock band at fifteen years old in New York City and Fort Lauderdale, Florida playing into her twenties. Her first CD titled Music Spins Me is composed of original tunes. They encompass pop rock and contemporary sounds that are upbeat and stimulating. Wendy started playing jazz because of her love for George Benson, Wes Montgomery and Joe Pass. She has released her latest album called Smooth Sounds of Wendy Kells Brown. An accomplished guitarist and vocalist, Wendy's fresh take on smooth jazz, ballads and standards appeals to fans of Diana Krall, Carole King and Karen Carpenter. Not limited to jazz standards, Wendy also performs country, blues, pop, rock and soul. Wendy exclusively plays Heritage guitars. "I have had many guitars throughout my career, and I am the most impressed with Heritage. They make an outstanding instrument that I'd recommend to anyone. I own six, and the sound just can't be beat." Recently, Wendy accepted an offer from Heritage to become a contracted artist. She joins a diverse group of artists representing music of all genres.
