But its lyricism is also beguiling, and as a serious storyteller it can sing of poignant things. Dag Jensen has fanned out the whole range of what is possible here in the most diverse facets. The two classical composers from Germany and Finland are a perfect match for the Norwegian Olav Berg (*1949), who wrote his new opus especially for this recording - just as Carl Maria von Weber and Bernhard Henrik Crusell once wrote their concertante works when the virtuosos who wanted to take them on tour were already sitting on packed suitcases. Of course, there is no sign of this.
