Behind Evrin are jazz and blues singer Eefje Terschegget and singer-songwriter Riny Raijmakers, a couple who met each other 11 years ago and decided to combine their different influences in a folk-rootsy mix of Americana, Blues, Jazz and Country. An organic mix of Evi's jazzy/bluesy voice quickly emerged, who draws inspiration from Karen Dalton, Joni Mitchell, Nina Simone and Billie Holiday, and singer/songwriter Riny, who is inspired by Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Ry, among others. Cooder and John Hiatt.
In 2015, Evrin self-released their 1st album 'Be Still'. An EP followed in 2017. The songs are a road trip through the musical landscape of styles that unites Evi and Riny, but also a tribute to the artists who inspired them and still inspire them, they take you back to the 70s, 60s and sometimes even decades further back. the time. A 2nd full (vinyl) album 'In the late innings' has just been released!
