The baroque violinist Daniel Pinteño presents, together with his Concerto 1700 group and the acclaimed soprano Ana Vieira Leite, Domenico Scarlatti: Amorosi Accenti, his new album that collects some of the cantatas of love and heartbreak composed by the Neapolitan artist Domenico Scarlatti during his stay in Spain, at the royal court of Barbara of Braganza and Ferdinand VI (1746-1759).
The works have survived to this day thanks to their conservation by Carlo Broschi Farinelli (1705-1782), one of the most famous castrati in history. It is believed that it was he who sang these pieces to the kings of Spain, during spring evenings in Aranjuez. It is wonderful music, with a composer like Scarlatti in a state of grace, who possibly composes for the best singer of the 18th century, like Farinelli, based on texts from the most outstanding musical poet of his time: Pietro Metastasio. All this under the auspices of Queen Barbara of Braganza.
Pinteño, a musician committed to the exploration and dissemination of the music of the 18th century in Spain, returns to the vocal repertoire, in a very special way, exploring aspects hitherto unknown to the group, such as love and heartbreak that emerge from the texts. of these cantatas.
