Jazz Beatles - Jazz Beatles (2000)

This CD is a result of a project commissioned by the Tel Aviv Jazz Festival in February 1997. Five musicians who are considered to be among the leading musicians in Israel gathered to interpret, arrange and perform the music of the "Fab Four" in jazz. Since then ,the band has performed all over Israel including the "Red Sea Jazz Festival"-1999, has appeared in 2 TV specials on Channel 2 and is working on more material for a second album. This C.D. includes 8 (out of hundreds) songs of the Beatles, arranged and played in several jazz styles, varying from Up Tempo swing through Bossa, Latin, Afro to Ballads and Blues. All the music was recorded Live at "Haogen Studios". Additional percussion was added on later, on some of the tunes.
