Solo Gemini - Love Is God (2023)

"For a quite long time, I've been thinking (on and off) to record a soundtrack for a non-existing movie.

Partly because I love cinema and it inspires me on a different level than music does. Also because of the connection between music and the picture and how they wind up together forever when they come at the same time. Inseparably.

When I was recording this mini-album back in 2021, I didn't think about the idea of creating a movie soundtrack. (It doesn't really matter since the movie doesn't exist, but it could be important for the process itself.) At the time I was exploring the concept of transferring the technique I use in my (visual) art process - which can be called 'mindful doodling' - into music making.

All 9 themes are based on recording myself playing on / or maybe playing with / emulations of electric piano, vintage synthesizers, and different small instruments I’ve gathered through the last couple of years.

I selected the most (subjectively) interesting parts of these jams to resequence them into composed pieces.

Around the time of the recordings, I was busy asking myself questions about transcendence and sense of existence. "Love Is God' came in as something like an everyday motto that brought peace and quiet.

Since the tracks come from the same jams, they end up together as consistent (but diverse in the case of styles) release.

Two years passed and I find these 9 chosen tracks still interesting, and worth sharing.

I also realized that I’ve actually made a record I was thinking аbout: "Love Is God'' is definitely the soundtrack for a non-existing movie that one day might be created."
