Theo Travis - Between The Silence (Live) (2023)

Travis & Fripp have proven with their previous work that they are one of Robert Fripp's most enduring duo projects, and this despite the fact that both are permanently busy in other projects. Most of the music on this triple album is new and only two tracks are found in other versions on the album "Follow".

As always with Travis & Fripp's music, it is wonderfully difficult to categorize it neatly. It is sometimes quiet but can never be described as ambient, improvised but can't be described as jazz, it uses electronics but still can't be categorized as electronic music.

In any case, it is music that moves a large number of people both in concerts and through the releases, and "Between the Silence" fits beautifully into their discography as their 5th album.
