Steve Winwood - Ohio High Life (2019)

Following his work with The Spencer Davis Band, Traffic, Blind Faith and other, smaller outfits, in 1977 Steve Winwood began his solo-career with the release of his eponymous first album. Followed in 1980 by Arc Of A Diver, and in 1982 by Talking Back To The Night, by mid-decade Winwood was a bona-fide rock star in his own right. In 1986 he moved to New York where he enlisted the help of a coterie of fellow-stars to record Back In the High Life. Released in May '86, the album was a huge success, topping the Billboard Hot 100 with first single 'Higher Love', and earning two Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. Steve Winwood and his touring group embarked on an extensive tour of North America in support of the record and on 17th September '86 the band played a superb show in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, at the city's Blossom Music Centre.
