As a restless explorer of cultures and sounds, of stops in transit, Dj Click keeps meeting incredible people over his halts. Equipped with his turntables and his mobile studio, this time with the complicity of Masha Natanson, he digs into Polish old tempos, remixing, tweaking, to create a new collaboration.
If you don't know Masha Natanson, it's time ! She is the hidden grand voice of Europe (no joke). She sings to the perfect interpretation, hears all imperfections like an electronic tuner, she records all the polyphonic voices with a modern vision, she uses contemporary tools and she has a repertoire in dozens of languages and dialects that extends over all the balkans and eastern countries and beyond.
Masha comes from a family with a multi-generational musical tradition. Several years in a music school, she quickly turns to singing and monopolizes the mastery of violin, kemençe, Turkish spoons (kaşıklar), panduri and greek baglamas.
In 2004 she throws her group “Čači Vorba”, where she adapted a vast repertoire of traditional songs, from Russian romances to Greek rebetiko.
Masha cooperates with many artists where she lends her special voice to Milo Ensemble, Banda Iovanica, Voo Voo, Simon Thacker, Rafał Rozmus, Jahiar Azim Irani.. even get sampled by the famous hip hop Romanian band “Subcarpați”.
This EP is the beginning of a long term collaboration between them, here Dj Click wanted to give a nostalgic dimension, a sound that comes close to the Björk production's of or even sometimes, we could believe is the original sound track of “Ghost in the Shell”
