Lisa Grotherus - Musiken Från Min Berättelse (2023)

Sveriges Radio's program My story is about the big moments - the ones that change life. The narrators who are listeners contact the program themselves to share their story with other listeners. In 2017, Dramaten and Sveriges Radio teamed up to make a live version of My story. Composer and artist LiSA GROTHERUS was asked to be a composer and musician. During five years, 14 unique performances were produced with different narrators each time. Lisa's music tied the stories and poetry together, bringing them to life, amplifying certain parts and creating a breather when needed. Central to Lisa Grotheru's composing was finding the narrator's voice and mood in the story so that the music merged with both tone and story. The performances at Dramaten had a great audience impact and were recorded and broadcast live on Sveriges Radio and also as a podcast.
The disc's content is a selection from the various works in the performances and radio programs. Lisa Grotherus has processed and arranged the music for eight prominent musicians.
