South Beach Recycling - Obsessive Compulsive Disco (2022)

Although best-known for delivering colourful nu-disco and tasty re-edits, South Beach Recycling has long been a fan of deep, dusty and chunky house music. He first gave us a taste of his interpretation of this style earlier this year via a contribution to a split EP on BRS Music. Here he's gone further, delivering a whole album's worth of crackly, roughly hewn house jams for Atjazz's popular label. Highlights come thick and fast throughout, from the ultra-deep broken house wooziness of 'CDogs Wish', sample-heavy loop-jam 'Open Up Your Heart' and deep space hypnotism of 'One Synth Wonder', to the fittingly Atjazz-esque 'Total No. Recall' and the breathtakingly beautiful, jazz-flecked sci-fi deep house of 'SX Inspiration'.
