The exhibition Where the Wild Things Grow will be on display for the first time in Hamburg and consists of a site-specific, large-scale fiber art installation; a sound-art element created in collaboration with British film composer Sion Trefor; and new works on canvas from the series Sounds I’ll Never Hear, which features Morales’ signature visual world of mixed-technique painting with textile components.
A professional concert pianist, violinist, violist, harpist, drummer and percussionist-turned composer and producer for visuals, Sion Trefor's music is uniquely otherworldly and soulful. His pieces are rooted in evocative, often devastatingly poignant imagery, at all times weaving between the peripheries of beauty, isolation and destruction.
Sion is one half of FUTURE KULT, an alt-electro duo with art producer and long time collaborator, Benjamin Zombori. Other frequent collaborators include D’Andrea Pelletier , Casi & The Blind Harpist, Charlotte Church and Dan's People. Ongoing collaborations with artists include exhibitions with Beatriz Morales, Brendan Dawes and Aujik.
