The former member of the Saian Supa Crew, Leeroy, unveils a new project-homage on the occasion of 20 years of the disappearance of Fela Kuti, the father of Afrobeat. The album, "Leeroy presents: Fela is the Future" pays tribute to the legend of the music of Nigeria bringing all its talent and its modern musician's paw on the rhythms of the songs composed by Fela Kuti alias Black President.

To realize this album homage, Leeroy went in June 2017 in the biggest city of Nigeria (20 million inhabitants), Lagos, to record and realize this album bringing together the family and the old guard of musicians of the singer disappeared in August 97. Today, it is with pure happiness that one discovers the first excerpt of the album "Beasts of no Nation"



'' Beasts of no nation '' is the first single of the album: Fela's cult piece with lyrics denouncing corruption that gangrene the powers (judges, politicians, police) and human rights abused. And the names of the political leaders quoted in this hymn (Reagan, Thatcher) could easily be replaced by current leaders. For those who do not necessarily know the legendary Fela Kuti, he was in the 70 years the father of the musical style Afrobeat (mixture of funk, jazz, traditional music of West Africa and Nigerian), he was also imprisoned for several years for his fight for human rights while singing like Bob Marley or Gill Scott-Heron at the time a music close to the people and the sufferings of his people. It is a legend in Nigeria.
