Santo Domingo, DR. October, 2022. Last Tuesday, October 11, through all digital platforms, the renowned flutist Néstor Torres, winner of the Grammy Award, and the acclaimed producer and arranger Corey Allen (a native of Boston whose credits include The Manhattan Transfer, Lou Rawls and Chuck Mangione), have collaborated on their first musical project and together they have delivered a musical treasure in honor of the culture and music of the Dominican Republic with the album entitled: "Dominican Suite".

Conceived, produced and arranged by Allen, Dominican Suite is a love letter to the beautiful people, landscape and musical culture of the Dominican Republic. All songs are composed (or co-composed) by Corey Allen in the popular Dominican genres of Merengue, Bolero, Bachata, Salve and Mangulina. Juan Luis Guerra (Corey's close friend and Berklee College of Music classmate) is the composer of track #10 "Si Tu No Bailas Conmigo", appropriately chosen as the ending theme to close this love letter to the Dominican Republic. , in which Allen arranged and produced this new version . This can be described as a Jazz/Latin Jazz/World Music album.

The heart of the album is "The Dominican Suite," the first four tracks, for flute and big band, while the others serve as pillars for this centerpiece. The work highlights the stellar flute work of Néstor Torres and features Dominican artists. , among these: Maridalia Hernández (voice), Pavel Nuñez (voice), Janina Rosado (voice/keyboards), Juan “Chocolate” de la Cruz” (percussion), Alvaro Dinzey (voice), Federico Méndez guitar), Pengbian Sang ( bass), and Sandy Gabriel (saxophones).

The Tebó Foundation has joined this musical presentation, in its desire to actively participate in any manifestation in which the fine arts make their presence known. On this occasion, forming part of the album cover with a pictorial work by the master Sacha Tebó allegorical to the rhythm and color of the Caribbean (Coumbite).
