Blixie Perestroika - Ambition Is Low (2022)

Blixie Perestroika is a London-based singer-songwriter who stops at nothing. For the past few years, she has been raging on the scene in order to make a name for herself with her unique music, which gave birth to a remarkable first album called Ambition Is Low.

And to do this, Blixie Perestroika calls on Jack Dawe and Morgan Corbeau to refine her haunting universe. Through these fourteen titles for 66 minutes of music, she takes us into solemn epics where she reflects her wanderings and all her tortuous journey that led her so far. By drawing her inspiration from Depeche Mode or even Muse and Nine Inch Nails, she pushes a real plea listening to the desperate flights such as the opening title called "Light The Lamps" but also with the dense "Bend and “My North”.

Ambition Is Low turns out to be autobiographical if we look a little more at the texts advocating self-knowledge but still a call to responsibility. While confident, she unleashes the crowds with epic and disillusioned moments like "Industrial War Machines" as well as "Hypochondriminiac" and "Blacker Than Ever" where she does not hesitate to highlight the vices of humanity to bring clarity out of it.
