Voktett Hannover - Glaube, Krise, Hoffnung (2022) [Hi-Res]

On the new CD by the Voktett Hannover, early and new music resound side by side in a dialogue that spans the ages. Four contemporary works by Alberto Arroyo, Friederike Bernhardt, Max-Lukas Hundelshausen and Shadi Kassaee are embedded between the five movements of Hans Leo Hassler's Missa Octo Vocum. Both textually and musically, these works are dedicated to transience and insecurity under the sign of crisis, but equally to the personal experiences of the composers, their views and insights, the hopes and longings of the crisis-ridden days in Corona times, and thus also to the longing for human closeness and contact.
