Tabea Debus - Upon a Ground (2014)

Tabea Debus (*1991) received her first recorder lessons from Gudula Rosa at the Westfälische Schule für Musik, Münster, before moving to the London Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Pamela Thorby and Ian Wilson, recorder, and Alison McGillivray, baroque cello. She studied recorder with Michael Schneider and baroque cello with Kristin von der Goltz at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts. The eight-time federal prize winner of the "Jugend musiziert" competition was awarded a large number of special prizes early on, including prizes from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, the Manfred Vetter Foundation and the Melante Foundation. In 2011 she won first prize at the international woodwind competition “hülsta woodwinds” in Münster.

Lea Rahel Bader (*1984) first studied cello at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin with Hans-Jakob Eschenburg and Stephan Forck. After graduating in 2009, she moved to the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts, where she continued her studies in the baroque cello with Kristin von der Goltz and in the viola da gamba with Heidi Gröger.

Johannes Lang (*1989) studied harpsichord with Robert Hill, figured bass with Michael Behringer and church music (organ) with Martin Schmeding at the Musikhochschule Freiburg. As an organist, he won 1st prize at the XVIII. International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig, 2011 the audience prize at the International Music Competition of the ARD, Munich, and 1st prize at the International Organ Competition in Bellelay/Switzerland, 2009 1st prize at the II International Buxtehude Organ Competition in Lübeck.

Kohei Ota (*1980) studied classical guitar at the Forest-Hill Music Academy in Fukuoka, Japan. In 2001 he began studying with Stefano Grondona at the Vicenza Conservatorio di Musica in Vicenza, Italy, graduating in 2007 with top marks. In 2005 and 2006 he received an honorary diploma for his participation in the Accademia Chigiana di Siena with Oscar Ghiglia.

Jan Croonenbroeck (*1988) studied Catholic church music at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold, organ with Tomasz Adam Nowak (artistic training) and orchestral conducting with Karl-Heinz Bloemeke. He took part in numerous master classes for organ interpretation and improvisation with Thierry Escaich, Hans Haselböck, Ewald Kooiman and Peter Planyavsky, among others. Among other things, he was awarded 1st prize at the International Organ Competition of the 1st Wuppertal Music Summer.
