Samuel Hasselhorn (*1990 Göttingen) studied opera singing at the Hanover University of Music and Theater from 2008 to 2014 with Prof. Marina Sandel and Prof. Jan-Philip Schulze. His education was complemented by studies in vocal pedagogy with Prof. Marina Sandel and a year abroad at the National Conservatory CNSMDP in Paris with Malcolm Walker, Susan Manoff, Anne Le Bozec and Jeff Cohen. He received important suggestions in master classes from Patricia McCaffrey, Kiri Te Kanawa, Kevin Murphy, Prof. Thomas Quasthoff, Helen Donath, Annette Dasch, Irwin Gage, Angelika Kirchschlager, Prof. Edith Wiens and Prof. Martin Brauß. In 2013, Samuel Hasselhorn and Takako Miyazaki won 1st prize at the Int. Schubert competition LiedDuo in Dortmund, in Paris he was awarded the “Prix de Lied” at the Boulanger competition for best lied singer.

Takako Miyazaki (*1982 Osaka, Japan) studied piano at the Tokyo College of Music with Prof. Mieko Harimoto. After graduating, she continued her studies at the University of Music, Theater and Media in Hanover with Prof. Gerrit Zitterbart. She passed a diploma examination in the subjects piano and historical keyboard instruments. She completed her master’s degree in fortepiano with Prof. Gerrit Zitterbart and Prof. Zvi Meniker in 2014. Since 2009 she has also studied song accompaniment with Prof. Jan-Philip Schulze. Takako Miyazaki has won prizes at various piano competitions, e.g. In 2007 he won first prize at the Tama Fresh Concert and in 2005 he received the sponsorship prize of the Osaka International Music Competition.
