‘Where You From’ by No Win | New Album, ‘Dodger Stadium’. You From’ by a Los Angeles-based rock’n’roll outfit No Win helmed by Danny Noguerias. The band releases their brand new album, ‘Dodger Stadium’ tomorrow via Dangerbird Records.
Speaking on both their new LP and its focus track, Nogueiras wrote the following prior to their release: “‘Where You From’ is supposed to sound like a trip to the skatepark with your weirdo friends in 2003. The feeling of finally belonging to a group of people even if you know you all don’t fit in anywhere else”.

“I’m very excited to finally be releasing Dodger Stadium and sharing the entire record with the world. After what feels like an eternity of sitting on the album it comes out August 19th and it’s perfect timing. I hope the summer vibes we tried to inject into the music reach everyone and our songs get to be present for some good times”.

No Win’s 2019 debut, downey, found Nogueiras fully embracing his rocker background. With its energetic arrangements and hooky songwriting, the record presented 29 minutes of leather clad, sweaty energy. The project’s latest, ‘Dodger Stadium’, builds on that formula, but fleshes it out with increased complexity. ‘Grow Out Of It’ pairs an Oasis-y melody with a sauntering hip hop rhythm. On ‘New Year’, a trebly riff rests atop a whiskey-soaked instrumental. ‘Time Killer’ is lively, and captures a slice of the SoCal sound that is so crucial to the project’s roots. “I was listening to a lot of Hüsker Dü and I kind of wanted to get into this, like, heavier version of poppy rock stuff, but with darker sounds”, Nogueiras says. Alongside that, he was drawing inspiration from some goofier music, like Sugar Ray and Third Eye Blind. You can sense that dichotomy on ‘Dodger Stadium’. These latest tracks certainly pack a punch, but they always remain lighthearted, approachable, and fun.

The new record, featuring hit singles such as ‘Surfing’ and ‘Hit the Line’, was co-written by Jeff Enzor (Joyce Manor, Merry Christmas) and David Jerkovich (Deep Dreem, Ill Lit, Kind Of Like Spitting).

Earlier this year, No Win shared a new EP entitled ‘Enhanced CD’. The release is a tight blast of positive 90s vibes which includes singles ‘New Year’ and ‘Spent Outside’, and ‘The Hit’.
