Exactly one year ago, Blue Magazine startled by a then still large unknown Swede who made a huge impression with their second album Outskirt. With the fearsome title Horrifying Death Eating Blood Spider, Daniel Norgren suddenly all attention focused on him. He asked, then wondered who in Who's Knocking on his door stood beech, now it's a huge, black bull, the silence in the Swedish forests upset. Big Black Bull Norgren goes on like never before and with a pounding beat put the jungle looming, ominous tone of this album. The influence of Tom Waits is clearly on top as in Rain Dogs, pardon Lovedog is heard. The moans, squeaks (Crooked John), growls and knocks. With the slow blues of Nr.1,2,3 there is finally some time to come, and also with High Bird we can sit back and relax and enjoy a wonderful authentic blues sound. To be sure, even geraadplaagd the recording data but it is actually recorded in 2010. The wonderful Blind is one of the best Norgren has taken so far. The young Swede once again proves a huge dose of feeling in his music, he is able to either blues. Mean Old Devil Got On II is the sequel to the first part that was found on Outskirt. The country blues of Stuck In The Bones is as the title suggests, the marrow. Norgren does not do overdubs and overtime in the studio but knew damn well where he started when he once again individual pressure indefinitely in the isolated room keys. As pure as H.D.E.B. this year it is really not. Norgren proves Horrifying Death Eating Blood Spider that genius and madness again awfully close together.
