Who doesn't wish for that, an everlasting summer. If you want it, you have to travel a lot around the world after it.
Or listen to the song "Eternal Summer" on the Blues Polish CD "Nasty Angels' Paradise".
Mirek Winiarski (guitars, vocals), Markus 'Meise' Meissner (vocals), Cpt. Hart Basan (bass, vocals), Remy Schombara (drums, percussion) and guest Jan Sczepanski on the harp make eternal summer possible.
The song flows at a sluggish mid-tempo. 'Meise' Meissner demonstrates his diverse vocal abilities, from soulful singing to shouter qualities. Jan Sczepanski blows an emotional harp with a top notch solo, which is then followed by a Winiarski guitar solo. Unfortunately we don't have summer yet, but "Eternal Summer" sweetens the waiting time magnificently in a blues-heavy guise.
"Rasta Rocka" also fits into this category. Rockin' Reggae, I'll call it. A mix of styles that fits like a tailored suit. Really successful 4 ½ minutes that underline the versatility of Blues Polish.
All the necessary ingredients make "Still" a great rock ballad.
"At The Window" has to be mentioned in the same breath. A ballad that creeps smoothly into the ear canals, which picks up speed in the middle part, decorated with a guitar solo, and then becomes calmer again.
The ballad "For You Claire" is also wonderful...
But don't think that Blues Polish only serves ballads or mid-tempo numbers.
"One Hundred Percent", "Bad Times" and "Rock 'n' Roll" are rock-bluesy songs with southern rock roots. The bonus video contains the latter track as a live version (boy, boy, what's going on!!!!). All with mighty grooves by Cpt. Hart Basan and Remy Shombara provided. Stevie Kurz plays drums on four of the twelve tracks. For example in the instrumental "Mirek's Boogie". True, a great boogie.
The plane is on the runway ready to take off... All the gas levers forward: We're taking off for a "Long Night", blues rock, again with Jan on the harp... And off we go. Guitar and harp in unison. A successful piece of music.
Oh, and then there's the track "These Boots". One would have to add: …"Are Made For Walking". Now the fog lifts, the sun comes out and Blues Polish shine with a heavy edition of the Lee Hazelwood song.
"Nasty Angels' Paradise" is already fueling expectations of what is to come. There are also plus points for the attractive cover.
"Rock Your Party!". And how.
