The collection takes you to hell, heartache and dystopia, but then brings you to back to Heaven with its closer, "Lightning in a Clear Blue Sky" - a Hendrix-style vision of the Second Coming of Jesus. Colored by Burke's baritone voice and wild and varied guitar sounds, Blues on Mars paints a technicolor picture of how every human emotion and experience has come together to forge the music that blues fans love.
