Erlend Ropstad - Gleden & Sorgen (2022) Hi-Res

Erlend Ropstad started his career in 2005, and has since then established himself as one of Norway's foremost rock poets. In 2013 came the breakthrough with "What if it's not the way you think it is", and since then all the studio albums have received Spellemann nominations and brilliant reviews. The songwriting and recording of the new album Gleden & Sorgen has become as it has become because Erlend Ropstad wanted to open up a little more, let in a little more air and light on the album compared to the previous album, which was a fairly packed rock album. Although the lyrics are mainly a bit sad in the theme, the lyrical superstructure on the record is that without the sorrow there may not be much joy in the joy. It is a duality, a yin-yang situation between the two, that they complement each other. The album was recorded in Nabolaget, mainly live in the studio, with co-producer Roar Nilsen behind the controls.
