The number of jazz musicians having adopted the organ are rather few in number, compared to other instruments used in jazz:: Fats Waller, Jimmy Smith, Bill Doggett, "Wild" Bill Davis, Lou Bennet, Jimmy McGriff, and naturally Rhoda Scott.
Discovered by Count Basie, Rhoda Scott has played with Ray Charles, George Benson, Ella Fitzgerald, Toots Thielemans, and many others ... Specialist and virtuoso of the Hammond Organ, she marked the history of the organ and the history of French jazz and influenced a generation of french organists: Stephane Patry, Emmanuel Bex, Thierry Eliezer Benedict Sourisse .. .To celebrate 40 years of life and career in France, she has released a new album "Anthology" which includes 14 tracks (from her best recording from Barclay) and a DVD from two exceptional shows "live "filmed by the Hungarian Television in 1972 and 1973.
