The young pianist Toni Saigi presents his first disc as a leader, La Prinsire de la Sal, which he recorded with his Tronik quartet featuring himself alongside saxophonist Jaume Ferrer, Marc Cuevas on double bass, and the drummer Carlos Falanga.
The disc is made up of a group of original compositions by Toni Saigi which denote a clear influence of the jazz from the 50s and 60s, as well as of contemporary composers and musicians from his generation currently active on the jazz scene in Barcelona.
The ten pieces found on La Prinsire de la Sal were recorded at the Underpool Studio, where this group of musicians found the ideal conditions to perfectly capture the musical world of this brilliant pianist.
