»My dream finally came true to record in New York with jazz legend Kenny Barron. I've always loved jazz and New York is his home. It all started by accident thanks to the friendship that binds me to Joe Farnsworth, the king of swing, caused by a situation we never wanted or imagined we would face during lockdown.

After an exchange of music and emails, the long-awaited project became a reality and was realized in the most important jazz recording studio in the world, the Rudy Van Gelder Studio.The common denominator of the songs is the love and the sensations felt during the forced Experiencing isolation, being alone in the house, uncertainty, the desire to overcome everything through love. I am particularly fond of the only Italian song I contributed, written by an extraordinary musician and friend, Mario Rosini, a song whose message is very close to my father's.

The pieces we've chosen sound wonderful thanks to Kenny Barron's piano playing, Peter Washington's deep sonority, Vince Herring's poignant notes and Joe Farnsworth's driving rhythm.
