Panna Cotta is a Berlin-based band composed of Riccardo Pirotto (Drums, Visuals) and Alex Arslan (Synthesizer, Voices). Panna Cotta cooks sweet music which could be defined somewhere between Slow-Disco and Synthwave.

Born and raised in Padova / Italy, Riccardo is a dreamer who practiced Jazz Drumming with the best Italian teachers (Tommaso Cappellato). Having studied Design in Venice, the mysterious and timeless Italian city has and is still a big source of inspiration for him.
After Venice, Riccardo worked for acclaimed Austrian designer Sagmeister in New York, moved to Milan where he was part of a Jazz Ensemble, before opening his own studio in Berlin, Germany.
Creating, crafting original, slick and timeless art pieces is Riccardo Pirotto's signature. His drumming is the best example: influenced by Jazz, Italian Pop Music (Battisti, Sorrenti) Afrobeat and Psychadelic Rock (Pink Floyd), Riccardo has an hybrid style, which transports the listeners through the genres. His precision in counter rhythms makes his drumlines recognizable after only a few minutes.
Knowing Riccardo's natural eye for beauty, he designed the artwork and visuals but also co-directed the music video "Sunrise".

Born in France in a Turkish/French family, Alex first encounter with music happened through the hundreds of cassette compilations his father had recorded. Father who thought him everything about music and especially how to recognize the reasons of a good song or composition. After Lyon where he studied, Alex moved to Paris where he started producing Music. His first synthesizer was a Kurzweil K2000, the same Synthesizer which was used on "Sunrise".
It is also in Paris that he fell in love with the Groove, during a night in legendary "Social Club" where non less legendary Greg Wilson was spinning his timeless edits.
After moving to Berlin, Alex decided to invest more time and ressources in composition and studio equipment. His love for analog gear range from Crumars, Juno to Moog synthesizers.

Riccardo and Alex have meet by chance on Tempelhof in Berlin. This place which gathers thousands of beautiful people each week-end, symbol of the openness and tolerance of the city of Berlin.
After a few minutes, it became clear that their music influences were complementary and shared the same vision about music making: Sexy and Groovy.
The LP "Sunrise" was conceived at the beginning of the pandemic, a time where Music could not be lived freely anymore.
The album is an ode to all these beautiful moments and feelings we missed during the first lockdowns, moments we all remember and learn to cherish even more: our Childhood, Love, Sunrise, etc.
