Leading by Jean-Philippe Ville, who is becoming more prominent with his transcendental skill as a contrabass player, it is more appropriate to call these three people a group of three-way equal performances rather than a piano trio. The intimate interplay that can only be created with an extraordinary sense of unity boasts a dramatic degree of perfection that the theme and solo are organically linked and can no longer be called a song. Sometimes it's reminiscent of Keith Jarrett's STANDER DS. Given that each of the three is nearly unknown, there is no hesitation in calling this a wonder.
