Elisabeth Melander - Notes from Within (2022) Hi Res

Elisabeth Melander is acclaimed for her sincerely personal and soulful expression in both jazz and soul and gospel, with a breadth both vocally and genre-wise. Since the age of 15, Elisabeth has toured, recorded records and participated in countless radio and TV programs.

On "Notes from within" - Elisabeth Melander's sequel to "Reflections Of A Voice" - Elisabeth has long fulfilled a dream - a recording with piano trio and string quartet. The own compositions have been the main idea together with some favorite songs that have been reworked. The project took on another dimension when Lars Jansson, jazz pianist and old friend of Elisabeth, got in touch and asked if she wanted to write lyrics to some of his compositions.

The album's title refers to the depth and emotion through each moment in the music. In the composition and in the musical process, the consistent endeavor has been directed to a special soloist and instrument for the various songs. Therefore, some of Elisabeth's favorite soloists, who are also some of the country's foremost, are on the album and give the different songs another dimension of feeling and presence. All in all, it is a soulful variety of music, personal lyrics, different moods and voices.
