Artists like Sean Kennedy are hard to come by. Writing, composing and producing your own music is something most people don't do. Sean began writing songs at an early age. After picking up guitar and piano, the New York native sought help from friends and music teachers to compose songs about events in his life. Kennedy debuted himself with 2018’s Anyone and followed up with his 2019 album debut, Tell Me. Sean described the record as a series of questions he had entering high school, and his experiences becoming a teenager. The album, recorded in his home studio, saw the 15-year-old credited in every section of the record's process; nine out of the ten were solely self-written. Tell Me was released on March 8, 2019. Just twelve months after his debut, the singer followed up with his second full length LP, The One. Relying less on acoustic guitars, Sean strayed away from his singer-songwriter sound. The chronological based record took listeners through the singer's heartbreak, which Sean said taught him, “some really important lessons”. The One was released on March 13, 2020. Following three busy years, Kennedy didn't have plans for a third album. However, following the COVID-19 pandemic, What's Left Unsaid was born. The closing chapter to what was dubbed “The High School Trilogy”, has Sean sounding as confident as ever. It’s a turning point in his career, one where he’s finally at peace. What's Left Unsaid was released on June 11, 2021.
