Sommigen zien in de Canadese rapper Aubrey Drake Graham (1986) alias Drake de opvolger van hiphop-grootheden als Jay-Z en Kanye West. Toch is zijn vierde album If You're Reading This It's Too Late niet zo toegankelijk als je van een ster in wording zou verwachten. Het is even doorzetten voor je bent doorgedrongen in het Drake-universum maar in commercieel opzicht is de plaat een absoluut succes. Zowel in Canada als de Verenigde Staten haalt If You're Reading This It's Too Late de eerste plaats in de albumlijsten. The work quite literally went underground last winter. Musical explorations from the basement - a look inside my head - a gradual emergence into the sun (the backyard), greeted by sparrows and that blackbird with the sparkles on her chest. I couldn't forget about these recordings. So here they are, immortalized. And if we lose power, hopefully the feeling stays.
