The Wild Colonials are what 10,000 Maniacs would've sounded like if they'd been steeped in jazz and third world music. Boasting Thaddeus Corea, son of jazz legend Chick Corea, on drums and lead vocalist Angela McCluskey, the Wild Colonials throw a lot of ingredients into the stew that make up "This Can't Be Life," and while not everything here is seasoned properly, nothing will jar your tastebuds.
